Video Sound Art’s exploration of the ambiguous and multifaceted nature of language continued in the Milan installment of Babel with an exhibition project in dialogue with the Historical Archives of the Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico. Beneath a splendid vaulted ceiling with lunettes lies a constellation of micro-stories representing the ideal building blocks of that tragically impossible project—the construction of the mythological Tower of Babel—the metaphor that guided this year’s edition of the Video Sound Art Festival.
