Producing new works
Video Sound Art supports the production of new works through research-based processes, ongoing cultural planning, and the annual dissemination of an open call.
It collaborates with international foundations for the production of new works and organises artist residencies at cultural institutions such as the Touring Club Italiano, Palazzo Abatellis, the Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte and the Fonderia Artistica Battaglia, offering meaningful contexts for project development and experimentation.
The works of young artists, selected through the open call, are produced with the support of Video Sound Art’s curatorial, technical and communications teams, and in collaboration with researchers, external producers, and skilled artisans and specialists. The constant work of mediation with foundations, museums and galleries gives artists the chance to meet professionals and institutions in the field, helping their new works find visible and meaningful contexts.
