Thadeusz Tischbein

Thadeusz Tischbein lives and works in Leipzig, where he graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts in 2015. He advocates a conception of art that exists in its original form only as a temporary expression, but that can continue to live on through various media—not necessarily in the form of documentation, but rather through a material “translation” of the work. He often works with paper, using this fragile material to construct photographic or video sets within which the elaborate forms appear as monumental sculptures. He has participated in numerous festivals across Europe, receiving special mentions for his videos.
