Otolab

Milan, Italy

A collective of multimedia artists founded in Milan in 2001, working on experiment in digital art and electronic music. At the centre of its research is an investigation of perception, in particular of synaesthesia and of the symbiotic relationship between images and sound. Following the principles of the Otolab manifesto, close to those of hacker and DIY ethics, the projects develop through laboratories and workshops on the basis of mutual exchange and the free circulation of knowledge.
