Beatriz Lamarca currently lives in Paris. Since 2020, she has been working as artistic director at Louis Vuitton in Paris. Previously, she worked as creative director for Persol, Arnette, Sunglass Hut, and Luxottica in Milan. In her artistic practice, Beatriz often works under the pseudonym Bibi Yamamoto, exploring mixed media—both graphic and digital—as well as bronze and clay sculptures, works on paper, video, and photography. In her works, she explores the relationship between mind and matter by combining psycho-physical concepts with multimedia installations inspired by everyday life. The artist juxtaposes abstraction and figurative elements. Her aesthetic approach—her use of color, simple forms, and luxurious materials such as silk and gold—is influenced by her professional experience in the fields of fashion and graphic design.
