Caterina Gobbi
Caterina Gobbi lives and works between Turin and Berlin. She is an Italian artist and experimental musician working in the fields of performance, sound and sculpture. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Royal College of Art in London (2018) and currently lives in Turin. Focusing on personal experience, on ideas of “nature”, on concepts of feminism and on the potential of immersive soundscapes, her work explores the relationship between bodies and their surrounding environment.
Her solo exhibitions and recent performances include: Istituto Svizzero, Milan; Castello Gamba, Italy; Chalton Gallery, London; Soundscape #2, Chiaravalle, Milan; AliveLab Ateliersi, Art City Bologna.
Notable group exhibitions include: “Matrix Bodies” at Kunstraum Niederoesterreich, Vienna; “Ende Neu” at KINDL, Berlin; “Binary Code” at Saeger Gallery, London; “OUTPOST Open Sound” at Outpost Gallery, Norwich; and “Artnight. Public Market” at Nine Elms, London.
