Untitled

The performance stems from a dialogue with the works on display in the Gestus exhibition project (Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi, Venice, 2021), and from a desire to create a rupture in a newly established organic order. This rupture is generated by actions – sometimes sinuous, sometimes sudden – that recall the practice of certain 20th-century theatre masters (Brecht, Decroux, Artaud). The performance intervenes in the conceptual spaces between the works, acting as a bridge between ideas and the modulations of heterogeneous bodies. Gestures are transformed into symbols that connect different ways of life, evoking distant eras in which the human footprint is lost amongst those of other living beings.
The dance is already there: you need only coax it out
