Death of a Cheerleader
Winterthur, Switzerland
Death of a Cheerleader is a band from Winterthur, Switzerland, playing indie rock with post-rock and doom influences. Their debut album, Dancing Around The Fire Of Volcano, was written between Sweden and Turkey and recorded in Stockholm, in collaboration with Magnus Lindberg, producer and drummer of Cult of Luna.
They are old stories told in a contemporary language, inspired by the literature of ancient Greece and the Roman Empire, raising questions that have accompanied humankind for centuries: unanswered, yet important and necessary. The music on the album is strong, determined and urgent.
At Video Sound Art the band played on July 10th 2014 at the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia in Milan.
