V Edition 2015 — The man into the map

The V edition, for the second year at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, hosted selections and new productions guided by the biennial theme The man into the map, launched in 2014. The artistic interventions took place around one of the museum’s most important symbols: the Biancamano ocean liner. The Polene area, the Sala Biancamano and the liner’s facade were brought to life by the works of the festival’s artists.

The new productions grew out of collaborations with young talents, established artistic organisations and technological institutes: the collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano gave rise to I meet you, I remember you, a video-olfactory installation inspired by images from the Prelinger Archives; the encounter between new technologies, classical forms of representation and a sociological investigation of rituals gave rise to Bodymap. The protagonists included the Otolab collective with the immersive audiovisual installation Acrossing Luma and Davide Angheleddu with La mappa del Blériot.
