Production centre
Video Sound Art supports the production of new works through research-based processes, ongoing cultural planning, and the annual dissemination of an open call.
It collaborates with international foundations for the production of new works and organizes artist residencies at cultural institutions such as the Touring Club Italiano, Palazzo Abatellis, the Royal Factory of Capodimonte, and Fonderia Artistica Battaglia, offering meaningful contexts for project development and experimentation.
Among the most recent projects: Never Ground by Natália Trejbalová, produced by Video Sound Art as lead organization, supported by the Italian Council program (2024) promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture; A Place to Stay by Cecilia Mentasti, supported by MiC and SIAE as part of the “Per Chi Crea” program; The firefly keeps falling and the snake keeps growing by Driant Zeneli, with Video Sound Art participating as executive producer alongside Fondazione In Between Art Film and Manifesta 14 Prishtina.
The works of young artists, selected through the open call, are produced with the support of Video Sound Art’s curatorial, technical, and communications teams, and in collaboration with researchers, external producers, and skilled artisans and specialists.
The ongoing work of mediation with foundations, museums, and galleries offers artists the opportunity to connect with professionals and institutions in the field, facilitating the inclusion of their new works in visible and meaningful contexts.
