The Teatro Franco Parenti, after a renovation made by De Lucchi in 2007, has reopened in 2016 the former Centro balneare Caimi under the name of Bagni Misteriosi.
The project requalifies the entire complex which in the 30s was conceived as multifunctional center. The swimming pools have been successively added in 1937 and were designed by one of the main figure of the time; the engineer Lorenzo Secchi. Today the Bagni Misteriosi boast two swimming pools, a garden, exhibition and performance spaces. The Teatro Franco Parenti , founded in 1972 and directed by Andrée Ruth Shammah, is the only theatre in the world with a swimming pool and it’s a place of great cultural liveness in constant evolution, between tradition, research and innovation.
