At the moment he works in Paris and Nantes. Hoël’s works fall under the category of the absurd. Below the jesting and often ironic surface there is a critical way of thinking in between homage and irreverence to art history, visible thanks to the numerous hidden reference in his works. In every project he creates installations, video, performances, editorial projects, paintings and sculptures. The works are developed as if they were a movie with a screenplay, acts and characters.
