David Claerbout

David Claerbout studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam. He currently lives and works between Antwerp and Berlin. In 2007 David Claerbout received the Will Grohmann Prize from the Akademie der Künste in Berlin and in 2010 the Peill Prize from the Günther-Peill-Stiftung, Düren (DE). He also took part in the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin programme from 2002 to 2003 and has exhibited at major institutions such as the Milwaukee Art Museum, Wisconsin (US); De Pont Museum, Tilburg (NL); Pinacoteca de São Paulo (BR); Project Arts Centre, Dublin (IE); MAMCO, Geneva (CH); Secession, Vienna (AT); Tel Aviv Museum of Art (IL); SFMOMA, San Francisco, California (US); and the Centre Pompidou, Paris (FR).
