Camille Henrot

Paris, 1978

Camille Henrot currently lives and works between Berlin and New York. Her practice moves seamlessly between film, painting, drawing, sculpture and installation. In 2013 she was awarded a fellowship at the Smithsonian Institution, and she has exhibited at major institutions such as Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen (DK); Bétonsalon – Centre for art and research, Paris (FR); Westfälischer Kunstverein, Münster (DE); Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery (JP); the New Museum, New York (US); Schinkel Pavillon, Berlin (DE); New Orleans Museum of Art (US); and Fondazione Memmo, Rome (IT). She received the Nam June Paik Award in 2014 and the Edvard Munch Award in 2015, and has taken part in, among others, the Lyon, Berlin, Sydney and Liverpool Biennials.
