Co-design project 2025
Neo-Geographies

Artistic practices for the active citizenship of new generations: the places of everyday experience — domestic spaces, urban spaces, places of memory — analysed and reworked through writing, images, sound and podcasts.
The education department involved a group of students from Istituto Bordoni in Pavia in a co-design project begun in January 2025. Its thematic core is the places of their everyday experience — domestic spaces, urban spaces and places of memory — examined and reworked through different expressive tools: writing, images, sound and podcast.
The workshop-based, participatory approach encouraged a critical reflection on the relationship between the individual, space and environment, enriched by the contribution of artists, curators and researchers. The workshops prompted the students to imagine possible transformations of the places they had investigated and to develop first ideas for site-specific narratives; over the year the work concentrated increasingly on sound production, the language felt to be closest to the group’s sensibility.
The XV edition of the festival was an occasion to measure themselves against a professional artistic context: accompanied by the education staff, the participants visited the Magazzini Raccordati in the tunnels of Central Station, talking with artists and curators and observing at close hand the production processes and the use of sound and image as tools of research.
