The diptych North takes the viewer to Spitsbergen, in Norway. With his camera, Kazma explores an abandoned mine run by the Soviets from 1930 to 1980. Time has crystallised in the buildings of this former colony of Soviet workers – just as time seems simply to vanish in Kazma’s work.
