Ragtag

Ragtag is a film made with the found-footage technique, a collage of some 310 film noirs. The images manipulated by the director are drawn mainly from American features of the forties and fifties. Through this operation Boccassini creates an archive of the cinematic imagination, made up in particular of gestures, reducing the narrative component to a minimum. The film was selected by the programmers of Cinema Nuovo Eden in Brescia for the XIII edition of Video Sound Art Festival.
