Caterina Gobbi, LIPS (Lost in Plain Sight), 2019 — complex installation — video and sculptural elements in stucco

LIPS (Lost in Plain Sight) is a complex installation made up of video and sculptural elements, using stucco and its setting time as a form of resistance to ideological oppression. A new production designed during the residency at the restoration laboratory of Palazzo Abatellis in Palermo and made in the mountains of Courmayeur. The video work, divided into five chapters – each taking its title from the stages of the metamorphosis of rocks – is an edit of footage shot since 2013.
