When The Clouds

When The Clouds is the solo project of musician and producer Francesco Galano.

In 2009 he signed with the American label Drifting Falling, which released his debut EP, The Longed-For Season. Out in April 2011, the EP contains six tracks entirely composed, performed and produced by Francesco, in which acoustic instruments such as Rhodes piano, guitar, bass, strings, mellotron, glockenspiel and diamonica blend with intricate textures of concrete sounds, glitches and noise that become the rhythmic and percussive structure of the songs.

The track The Dawn And The Embrace appears on volume XIV of the compilation by The Silent Ballet, an influential American webzine devoted to instrumental, electronic, post-rock and experimental music. Again for The Silent Ballet, his track Flooding River features on the compilation con fuoco d’occhi un nostalgico lupo, alongside port-royal, Giuseppe Ielasi, French Teen Idol, Emanuele Errante and other key names of the Italian scene.
