Luca Trevisani
Verona, 1979
Luca Trevisani is a visual artist. His practice spans sculpture and video, and traverses interdisciplinary fields such as the performing arts, graphic art, design, experimental film and architecture, in a perpetually magnetic and mutating state. In his works, the historical characteristics of sculpture are challenged or even subverted, in a ceaseless exploration of matter and its narratives. Luca Trevisani’s practice is characterised by metamorphosis. What appears to be disintegration may simply be a shift in perception, the formation of a new model, or a space for an unexpected connection. His works have been exhibited internationally in museums and institutions, including: the Sydney Biennale, Manifesta 7, the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, Kunsthalle Wien, Kunstverein Braunschweig, ZKM Karlsruhe, Magasin, Grenoble, MAXXI Rome, the Museo del Novecento, Milan, and GAM, Turin.
