Ced Pakusevskij, Range, 2015 — motion graphics

Range is an experiment in generating visual noise, created by mathematical algorithms that, once rendered, draw a “living painting”: organic, its surface constantly evolving. It is the first in FullScream’s series of living paintings.
The work is inspired by anthropological research on European haplogroups, whose continuous movement and interaction it represents metaphorically. At the edges of these flows a few solid points emerge: forms defined by a series of interactions that stand for a recognisable culture.
