Unisono

Oli Bonzanigo’s new installation brings a unison of voices into relation with a single emitting body, a helium balloon held still in its movement to create a moment of observation. Starting from Naum Gabo’s concept of “stereometric transparency”, the artist began an investigation into the transformation of solids into light forms. The sound work is the heart of the installation: an archive holding the recordings made by the artist since 2008 across different continents. Bar chatter, people celebrating, meetings in squares, demonstrations, storms at sea, prayers, voices in courtyards, children shouting, encounters in the desert.
