How can you float without sinking?

A score for three female bodies, which established a dialogue with Letizia Cariello’s video work Con te.
It is the object of my practice to create emotional landscapes that affect the bodies and voices of the dancers, leading them to act within metaphorical realities that condition the quality of their movement. In this case I worked on the immersion of the bodies in dialogue with the installation by Letizia Cariello (LETIA), inviting the dancers to establish a connection with specific sections of the landscape as they follow one another, a process that starts from emotional experience in order to connect perception and individual texture. I thought of the space as a place of immersion that alters points of reference, reconstructing an imaginary ocean crossed by the femininity of the bodies, with the help of scores of sound and vocalisation that bring about a dimension of skin-deep listening between the performers, between them and the elsewhere in which they find themselves, and between the audience and the elsewhere it is invited to enter. — Silvia Giordano
