Feeling Thing

In the film Feeling Thing by the London company Candoco Dance Company and the artist Jo Bannon, three performers establish an intimate dialogue with an object: a ladder, a fan, a vacuum cleaner. The accompaniment comes from ASMR – Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response – sounds: the relaxing tingling sensation at the back of the head felt when hearing or experiencing actions such as whispering, hair brushing, scratching and tapping. The viewer is thus invited to immerse themselves in a sensory, illogical and unsettling space in which all things are alive.
