The video explores movements and displacements between land and sea in a landscape where leaving is at once a historical condition and an almost existential one. Rooted in the artist\u2019s family history, the video moves through the past and present of this area: from the geological movements of a landscape once covered by the sea, to recent human migrations. <em>Oltremare<\/em> develops a visual narrative about belonging and the desire to move beyond, weaving personal memories into the collective history of a territory. Two voices talk about memories of emigration, while the surrounding landscape fills the screens.
