The title refers to three disappearances: the disappearance of Hosni\u2019s body, the end of the golden age of Egyptian film production, and the gradual abandonment of VHS recording. Rania Stephan\u2019s collage work on this boundless cinematic material offers a singular rewriting of Egyptian cinema, but it is also a documentary on the life and work of a tragic star, a symbol of modern Arab femininity. The raw images are an ode to the VHS tape, which revolutionised the wide circulation of films for home and personal use."},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_work\/2419","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_work"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/vsa_work"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_work\/2419\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2556,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_work\/2419\/revisions\/2556"}],"acf:post":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_artist\/2221"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2419"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"vsa_edizione","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_edizione?post=2419"},{"taxonomy":"vsa_formato","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_formato?post=2419"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
