At the core of the songs is the incremental loop: the chord progression stays the same while layers of instruments are added or taken away, and the vocal line traces a pop course that ignores the classic structures. Sometimes the voice enters a musical setting that is already complete, towards the end of the song; at other times the distinction between verse and chorus disappears. The aim is for the listener to perceive a complete development, minimal in the sense of not redundant, in which every element has a precise purpose. In bringing post-rock and pop together, Adult Standard\u2019s genre could be called post-pop.\n\nThe 2014 live set, Youth Section, was created in collaboration with Antonio Polidoro and M.A.N.F.R.E.","works":null},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_artist\/4915","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_artist"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/vsa_artist"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_artist\/4915\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":4917,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_artist\/4915\/revisions\/4917"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4915"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"vsa_edizione","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_edizione?post=4915"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
