He was born in Milan in 1953.<br>He has received many prizes and awards in both Italy and the United States, including, in 2005, the gold medal for best illustrated children\u2019s book from the American magazine \u201c3\u00d73, The Magazine of Contemporary Illustration\u201d and, in 2009, the gold medal in the books section of Communication Arts. For years he worked with United Airlines, illustrating some famous advertising campaigns, and with the \u201cNew York Times\u201d, the \u201cNew Yorker\u201d and other publications. He is a regular contributor to the \u201cCorriere della Sera\u201d and the \u201cCourrier International\u201d.<br>Giacobbe\u2019s works will be the inspiration and starting point for new creations, such as the animated short <em>Le Roi du Silence<\/em>, which, thanks to the mapping by Lino Palena, becomes the poetic content of a video-mapping installation.
