She is Associate Professor of Design and Computation Arts at Concordia University in Montreal and co-directs Hexagram, an international network devoted to research-creation in media arts, design, technology and digital culture.\nHer practice focuses on site-responsive works, on projects at the boundary between art and science, and on socio-environmental design. At the heart of her research is materiality, understood as a revealing agent whose potential for action the artist investigates: its capacity to react, to interfere with sensations and to produce unforeseeable effects able to alter the course of events. Her work grows out of an aesthetic and political question that critically examines material production and infrastructures. Working with waste materials, biomaterials and active composites intended for the built environment and the arts, Jarry explores how matter, caught up in processes of transformation together with places, technologies and communities, can foster resilient socio-environmental relations.\nHer works have been presented internationally in Europe, the United States and Canada, including at the Centre Pompidou, the Canadian Cultural Centre, the Montreal Planetarium, VOX centre de l\u2019image contemporaine, the Invisible Dog Art Center in New York, the Biennale N\u00e9mo, the International Digital Art Biennial, the Device_Art Triennial in Zagreb and the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan.","works":null},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_artist\/2151","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_artist"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/vsa_artist"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_artist\/2151\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2249,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_artist\/2151\/revisions\/2249"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1905"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2151"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"vsa_edizione","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/videosoundart.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/vsa_edizione?post=2151"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
