Video Sound Art Festival presents the interactive exhibition of the French-Lebanese artist Nour Awada, that involves the Gallery and the Cloister of the Institut fran\u00e7ais Milano.<\/p>\n

The artist will showcase a video performance, which portrays her own body exposed to a freezing rain and she will also display a series of terracotta and bronze sculptures and other works. The exposition was developed in connection with the theme of the Festival \u201cTA EROTIKA, Hidden doors”.<\/p>\n

Alice Jarry lives and works in Montreal. Through a site specific practice, her digital art installations investigate the question of assemblages and the impact of materiality in the generation of dynamic forms, accidental and fleeting. Her work was recently presented at Device_Art Triennal (Zagreb), Invisible Dog Art Center (New York), Le Man\u00e8ge de Sury as part of Mons 2015, European Capital of Culture (Mons, Be) the Second International Digital Arts Biennial (BIAN, Montreal), La gare num\u00e9rique (France), as part of the LASER series (Leonardo Journal) and in several exhibition locations in Canada, the United States and Europe. Alice Jarry is a PhD candidate in \u00c9tudes et pratiques des arts (UQAM) and teaches Computation Arts at Concordia University.
\nAlice Jarry will present Lighthouses<\/em>, a site-specific kinetic installation with dichroic glass, mirrors, broken glass, stepper motors, LEDs, sensors created in collaboration with Vincent Evrard.

Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1984. Lives and works in Milan.\u00a0Bibi Yamamoto explores the relation between mind and matter, combining psycho-physical concepts and multi-media installations inspired by ordinary, everyday life. Titles like Wet Pink, Salty Yellow and A Hard Cock full of Hope are a synesthetic \u00a0provocation to the erotic memory of the viewer – \u201ceverything is happening in your head, nothing is really there\u201d says Bibi. Bibi expresses an interest in the juxtaposition of figuration and abstraction in video, analog photography, oil painting, clay sculptures, found objects and its aspects of intimacy and identity. Her work aesthetics – the use of colour, essential shapes and precious materials, such as silk and gold – is influenced by her fashion and graphic design background.<\/p>\n

Thadeusz Tischbein was born in Germany in 1971, he lives and works in Leipzig (Germany).
\nSchneewittchen \/ Snow white, the unpublished German artist’s film project, develops around the triad Desire – Love – Death and it starts from the observation of the effort put in place by some cultures to preserve the bodies of the dead.\u00a0From this reflection, Thadeusz Tischbein weaves references to history, literature, myth and to contemporary art, with a complex video installation in which theater wings lose their function, becoming the projection screen themselves. They, as well as the bodies now inanimate, are transformed into sculptures, intangible skin and metaphor of a desire that cannot be fulfilled. It is a fragile surface, which manifests the vanity of the erotic experience of being a means to transcend mortality.<\/p>\n

Delphine Depres was born in France in 1982, she lives and works in Geneva (Switzerland).\u00a0Her artistic work unfolds between installation and performance, her poetry aims at the deconstruction of the spectacular, implemented through the combination of new technologies and handcrafted items.\u00a0In her works there is no distinction between low and high tech, both blended together into a single narrative that puts the viewers in the position of constant change of their point of view.\u00a0Following this criterion, Delphine Depres has devised a new video installation for Video Sound Art Festival, where micro and macro are continuously stacked, playing on the deceit that characterizes the erotic dimension. Originally in an icy environment, our senses are called to reveal a perceptual distortion, while the artist plays with matter, with a physical and tactile approach, between playfulness and sensuality.<\/p>\n

Cleo Fariselli\u00a0was born in Cesenatico in 1982. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in 2007, and completed her education with workshops held by Jimmie Durham (Fondazione Ratti), Rirkrit Tiravanija (Domus Academy) and Liliana Moro (Fondazione Spinola Banna). In 2009 she was an artist in residence in Paris at the Dena Foundation for Contemporary Art, while in 2013 she took part in the BAR residence programme in Barcelona. Among her recent solo shows, we might mention \u2018Serpenti nelle grondaie\u2019 (GAFF, Milan), \u2018U.\u2019 (Fonderia Artistica Battaglia; Milan) and \u2018Samus Viridis X-9\u2019 (Espacio Sant Pere, Barcelona). Group shows include the \u20185×5 Castell\u00f2 Award\u2019 (EACC, Castell\u00f2), \u2018Estate\u2019 (Marianne Boesky Gallery, New York), the Prague Biennale 5 (Prague) and the \u2018Ariane De Rothschild Prize\u2019 (Palazzo Reale, Milan).<\/p>\n
