ITALIAN VERSION<\/a><\/p>\n

For its fifth edition,\u00a0Video Sound Art\u00a0open the door to young artists in the music field through the spread of an Open Call<\/b> Sound<\/b><\/p>\n

The biennal theme THE MAN INTO THE MAP <\/b>will lead the partecipant in the creation of original sound works by using a library composed by 12 sounds as a starting point.<\/p>\n

This set of sound is born from an interpretation of the theme: map as the crossing of actions and rituals created by humans during his daily existence.<\/p>\n

The first step for the creation of a sound map was the sampling of the 12 sound elements of the library. This sound map aim to join the daily ritual to the extraordinary event, the nearer to the farest, without hierarchies and difference of value. The library is created with the aim of merge together analogue and digital, deep and shallow , random and calculated.<\/p>\n

HOW TO PARTICIPATE<\/b><\/p>\n

Candidates can download the 12 samples from this page by clicking on the banner below. <\/b><\/p>\n

Is it possible to use only from 1 to 5 samples for the creation of a personal sound work inspired to THE MAN INTO THE MAP theme.<\/b><\/p>\n

The different samples, free from tonal and rhythmic constraints, can be processed through today’s music production software. <\/b>It is not possible to use or add any external sound that are not included in the sound library.<\/p>\n

Once the work is finished, the attendees have to upload it on Soundcloud, complete the specific form on the homepage. Click on \u201cUpload your project\u201d and fill out the form including the soundcloud link of your own project.<\/p>\n

The call opens to public on March 31st at 12 pm and will finish on June 5th at 12 pm.<\/p>\n

All works received will be carefully taken into account and evaluated by VSA team.<\/p>\n

VSA team will select from 1 to 3 works that will be shown for 1 week during the fifth edition of Video Sound Art Festival at Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia “Leonardo da Vinci”.<\/p>\n

The winner will receive a reward of 500 euro and the possibility to partecipate for free to three workshops of the Temporary Academy 2015-2016.<\/p>\n

The work set-up (materials, technical staff) will be at the expense of Video Sound Art. The work will be published on the homepage of the website after a check by the staff.<\/p>\n

The proclamation of the winner work will take place by June 15th, 2015 at 8 pm.<\/p>\n
