After the Museo Civico di Storia Naturale and the Planetario Hoepli, Video Sound Art, a contemporary art festival since 2011, presented its twelfth edition<\/strong> from 22 to 28 September 2022 with a programme of installations, videos, performance interventions and a screening programme at the Teatro Carcano. The historic theatre, from the basement to the gallery, showcased for seven days the voices of contemporary art, ranging from video to publishing installations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting with the reflections of the artists in the exhibition and in collaboration with the Dutch publishing project MacGuffin<\/strong>, the festival focuses on the unexplored possibilities that each object embodies in relation to history, identity and social relations, attempting to unveil political and social conditioning – the invisible qualities of matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

On show is the research of artists, curators, and  performers who, through imagination, analysis, and the reading of invisible dynamics, try with us to transform objects and show access to parallel worlds. One can fold a dishcloth and present it in such a way that others see a brocade, said the theatre director Mejerchol’d, freeing the function of the object and rediscovering the much evoked imaginative possibilities.<\/em> Optical inversion is one of the missions of this edition. Let us not miss the opportunity.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
